Whoa, it's been a while...

What is it they say? You plan and then life takes over, or something along those lines. In the two years since my last post, a lot has changed. Professionally, I am still in the world of content but in another role that keeps me happy and incredibly busy. Personally, I'm still training at least four times a week because, at 52, I'm not getting younger. I also landed a publishing contract for a children's story I tried for years to promote. Thank you so much, Livres Agape Books, for believing in me and my story. So, please keep your eyes peeled on my site and my social media for updates about the book. It is currently in illustration mode, and I cannot wait to share it with you. (My poetry book, From Ashes She Rises, is also available for purchase on Livres Agape Books' website too.)
In other news, I decided to finally make the jump and reinsert myself in the world of academia. I am pursuing a master of arts in creative writing, on a part-time basis, so my weekends are full with a great deal of reading, writing and analysis. It's exciting, tough and interesting. I am learning so much and maintaining, fingers crossed, my 4.0 GPA! All this being said, I ensure to make time to hit some of Montreal's coolest restaurants, eateries and cafes and then some and to stay connected with friends and family. The former is a must but the latter is even more significant.
The last two years have had good, bad and in-between moments. When you get the good, it's great. The in-betweens are special too. It's the bad that mucks you up a bit, but you try to quickly adjust and move forward. My late dad, one of the greatest Spartans of this world, would want me to do so, and so I follow through. And in the wise words of Thucydides, Greece's greatest historian (in my opinion): “The strong do what they have to do and the weak accept what they have to accept.”
So, for anyone who has been having a hard time of late, don't give up. Someone is looking out for you and has your back. I seriously believe this.

Ευγε... bravo sis... so very proud of you 😘
